    If that actually sold I'd have to actually consider parting with mine. As it is the 4K plus on VCP is four times what I paid for my 7 4-5 years ago

    Koufax populations are about 2x Clemente populations at 7, 8 and 9. Actually slightly more than 2x.

    With avg Clemente 7s now at $28k it looks like someone is using the pop numbers to justify a "50% of Clemente"
    price point for this card.

    There is a reasonable argument to be made that Koufax is on par with Clemente in terms of HOF "greatness", so this
    may not be so unreasonable a pricing methodology.

    Perhaps Koufax cards still have some legs in them? We shall see...

    How about this 1956 Mantle PSA 8. They usually sell around 8K these days and this one from PWCC (nothing even special about it) is already at $8100 with 9 days left! Holy Moly.
