2009 D Lincoln Cent with minor variety.

Sorry it's on it's side. Maybe someone could flip it for me.

A numismatist came in the shop yesterday. He likes searching coins and he showed me this 2009 D , Lincoln Cent which (my lousy cell phone camera couldn't capture too well ) ... looks like a D/D , but he says that's not supposed to happen (RPM and OMM ) with today's process of minting.
Anyone seen something similar or have modern examples of this ?

I'd like to confirm his findings. Albeit nothing "earth shattering".
