The coin is from an old time collection, what you would expect from an 1872-S. It is baggy (contact marks), weakly struck, and has some hairlines, but the price goes up 3x-8x as you approach Mint State, so for the money this might be an excellent coin for someone to fill a hole.
I would grade it as AU'ish, with a past/old cleaning, but the coin has nice pop and shows well in hand, lots of flashy luster.
