Do PCGS and other price guides include bids on unsold coins when determining the value of coins?

Do they include bids on coins that do not meet reserve? Given what apparently happened in Pogue IV, I'm curious...

    No. It is a non-event.

I wouldn't be so sure that they don't. Often I will see several coins(usually HA results) with the exact same sale price from different sales. Most of the time for different coins, but I have seen the same coin as well. I'm sure it is possible that someone bid the exact increment for coins in the same grade, but I always assume they were buyback bids or reserves.
