Pretty Nice 1978 Topps from an ebay rip (PWCC)

I may have overpaid a little on these - as is the case in many PWCC auctions - but ripped 16 packs (kept the rest as possible graders)... anyway, good star power. Here are the top cards. I'll throw some commons up later.

    Good looking cards Mike.

I remember in the old days when Softparade was doing the set.

I remember that too Mike --- if I recall correctly, the last card he needed was the Ryan - which I sold him after we did that case break.... many moons ago.

I actually picked up two nice 1980 sets plus a 1978 set from one of the reps I work with. He knows I understand a little about cards and asked if I could help him out. Already sold the 1972 set for him, and he also had a 1959 and 1960 set. The cards have been untouched for 35 years, and the ones I graded came back mainly 8's with some 7's. Will post some scans shortly.

Too bad about the PD on the Ryan cuz that has superb centering! That's a tough one in 9 or 10. Of course, still have to give it a shot!

Yep -- a little snowy. I think the scanner was a little dusty too. Thanks for the kind words, guys.

Rest of the possible graders coming in a few.... but was wondering if anybody here bought any of those raw lots that Brent had up? Those mini's sure did well....

Here's the best of the rest.... not sure they are worth grading financially, but will probably send out a chunk of them anyhow. Sorry about the dust.

A few scans from the 1978 and 1980 sets I picked up. Figure most cards will grade in the PSA 7/8 range.

I know they don't have much value but I still like the 78 and 80 sets. Mike looks like you did well good luck.

    Those look great Mike!

I bought a vending box from the BBCardKid back in 1994 - back then it was about 150 bucks.

One of the cards I thought had a shot at a 10 - 9 for sure came back:

I missed a production scratch on the back of the card around where the "game card" part is.

That "6" looks presents as well as some 10s, Mike!

    Thanx Tim.

The dent is hard to find/see.

    I agree - esthetically, it's a beauty of a card.
