Year coin was slabbed ?

I noticed on the long silver PCGS hologram with the non reflective saint there is a year (2004) in the rays. Was wondering if that was the year the coin was holdered ? I think that would be a good idea but they seemed to stop doing it for now. The coin is a MS63 Morgan.

I have never noticed, but will have to take a look. To answer your question, I do not know.

That's the copyright date on the hologram. So you can be fairly sure the coin wasn't holdered before that date :-).

The generations threads (search for them) will give you bwst knowledge of when a given holder and label style was used, which is as close as you can get.
