Eclectic group of Wrestling Card Poppage SCANS included 5/21

I was pretty pumped to see this poppage hit today. I managed to get some great poppage of guys who may be more on the amateur side of wrestling. I got a rare variation to my favorite athlete/coach of all time, Dan Gable from Portugal. In addition to this card, I got a Cosmos disk from Japan graded of Hulk Hogan. I know it is a tough issue when Dpeck was not sure if he had ever seen it before. I had some guys saying they had Kurt Angle's rookie but I have three cards in this poppage alone that pre-dates that card including a few cards from 1995. One of Kurt's mentors was Dave Schultz. Dave was an amazing wrestler and his story is now being told through the Foxcatcher book and movie, the ESPN 30 for 30, and another documentary from his wife. I went to the world championships in 1995 and the other half of the arena was full of Iranians and our side were Americans....this was being held in Atlanta. When Dave came out the crowd went completely wild for him as the Iranians were cheering for him and saying his name and he would wave to them. He spoke five languages or so and spent a lot of time with other foreign wrestlers....he was adored by everyone and a career wrestler. I have never seen anything like it since. I am happy to have some of his cards in slabs. I also got a nice dose of MMA with a Couture rookie that is MINT and the only one graded to date and I was able to replace my Keibler gem mint rookie I sold for $300 and got another 10 on this copy. I found my replacement for the Sting test run rookie I sold years ago and have the highest graded one to date back in my collection. It was a great day from PSA.

i haven't had a good sub like this in a while. I would like to dig up that other Japanese Hogan from 81 or 82 that Sumo discovered a while back. that would be cool one to try to get slabbed.

Great sub and cool to see the Japanese menko discs being graded. Eagles, which Hogan are you referring to? Unfortunately, I haven't had many new discoveries of late on the early Japanese Pro Wrestling stuff. Harder and harder to find any of it.
