Question about shipping autographed baseballs

What are some of the safest, cost efficient methods of shipping 1 signed baseball?

I have some baseballs that will probably sell in the $15 - $25 range and I don't want to gouge the buyers with a $10 shipping fee and I also don't want the shipping to cut deep into the sale.

Thanks for all suggestions, Tom

See if the P.O. has a priority mail box that works. You might have to ask someone at the counter. It might still be a bit much, but it is a nice way to ship.

Buyers should know you're not shipping a card! LOL

Yeah, there is a medium priority box that a few could fit nicely in. It costs about $12. So, if someone won several different balls, that wouldn't be so bad, but for 1 $15 baseball, it would be a killer.

Try getting some free small boxes from stores/friends/relatives/etc. A small box is basically worth $1 or more to me. Since I had a perfect sized box, a few months ago I shipped a softball in a box (first class) for $3.07.

I think first class in a donated box is the best way.

I've mailed signed baseballs for around $5-$6. I had them in their ball cube and then used the small brown boxes we get back from PSA orders with a few peanuts. Sent first class with tracking.

You can order 7"x7"x6" Priority Mail boxes on the USPS site. The boxes are free and you should have them delivered within a few days. If you want to ship Priority Mail this would my choice. As others have said, first class may be the way to go if you can find some small boxes. See the link below for the boxes from the USPS.
