Now Taking Applications for Numismatic Gladiator II

I believe that the first "Numismatic Gladiator" competition was a success and I want to thank everyone who participated by commenting and/or voting.
LordM and myself decided that if NG I was well received we would consider making it into a series. We are looking for two people who would be interested in competing in NG II. Please read the rules below before you express your interest.
RULES:
1. The category your coins muct be purchased from will be decided at a later date.
2. Gladiators may not spend more that $20 excluding postage/tax on their coin (but may spend less).
3. The venue from which the coin must be purchased will be announced at a later date.
4. Gladiators MUST actually purchase their entry coin.
5. Gladiators will not be allowed to reveal which coin is theirs, except to The Directors (LordMarcovan and Aethelred) until after the voting has closed, this includes PMs, people who have already voted et cetera.
6. The Directors of "Numismatic Gladiator" will select two Gladiators from those who have applied, these Gladiators will remain anonymous except to The Directors until the close of voting.
7. Both The Gladiators and The Directors may vote (without revealing how they have voted) as they see fit in the poll.
8. Any and all disputes that arise will be settled by The Directors.
9. Both of The Directors must be in agreement before any decisions are made.
10. The winning Gladiator will receive an icon that they may display in their sig line.
If you agree to all of the above terms and would like to apply to become a Gladiator in NG II please express your interest by posting to this thread. If you are not selected as one of the two Gladiators this time, remember there will be future Numismatic Gladiator competitions.

Must the coins be purchased from the same venue?
Yes, for example in NG I both coins had to be purchased from Vcoins.
The Gladiators might be told to buy an NCLT from the 1960s from Amazon or something like that. We will try very hard to make it fair and to build the contest around the collecting interests of the people we select.
But, the subject will not necessarily be ancient coins, so please keep that in mind.

Could the venue be something as broad as eBay?
That is possible.

Can you elaborate on the "Winning criteria"?
In #1 you asked voters both:
"Which coin was the better deal"
and
"Which do you like better"
I can see a situation where I like one better, but think price-wise, the other was the better deal.

Sounds fun - add me to the potential contestants.

It is up to the subjective opinion of the voters, but for me a coin I like better carries more weight than one that is a "good deal."
