Monthly Specials v Bulk Service

Unless I'm missing something the monthly specials are cheaper by up to a $1 per card and the turn around time is comparable 50 days / 45 days. Is there any benefit to using the bulk service and not the monthly specials? Thank you

The monthly special will not always have an option that is equivalent to the bulk service. It is also beneficial for some sellers who are subbing thousands of cards each month - then the rate gets negotiated.

Speaking of this, was always curious what the threshold was (in terms of number of cards submitted/month) to for one to be able to negotiate the rate?

    Perhaps 4SC?
  • Wish they would have a bulk service for pack grading.

The negotiation point comes from being in a position to commit to a certain minimum quantity each and every month as opposed to just a one time large sub. There are a few members here who have this sort of arrangement and occasionally will post here looking for others to piggyback on their subs. I've joined in some of their subs in the past.

So even being a small private collector, they've negotiated better pricing for a relatively small lot of cards? How much better? Thank you.

If you wait patiently for the occasional lower end of the monthly special variance and sub on your own at that point, you're doing just fine image
  • I believe over 500 cards for a single submission can get you a discount. Just ask them.
