Update: I'm now in Indiana

Friends:

Just wanted to give you a quick update, the move from Kentucky to Mishawaka, IN is complete. I'm in the new apartment and unpacked. I start the new job Monday. My currency collection went into a safe deposit box within 30 minutes of me hitting town. And then I discovered the second stash I hid in the car spare tire well, so I've got to run back down there soon.

I'm done collecting anything else, as I am going to have to rent a storage facility at least for a little while to contain all my extra crap (Star Trek items, old toys, Mad Magazines).

I'm still not back to collecting currency just yet, but wanted to drop you all a line so you would know I'm not dead.

And just to keep this post official:

Congrats on the successful relocation and new job!!!

On a random side note, I had purchased a vintage advertising sign from you with a rooster on it a good while back. As planned, I finally gave it to my friend for a belated B-Day / Christmas present and he absolutely loves it! Made a few of his friends envious that they didn't have one themselves. image

For those wondering, it was a cool booze ad that said, "All American Chicken C*$@". I think it was whiskey ...or maybe bourbon

I drive past Mishawaka on the way to MPCFest. I will pick you up next year so you can start collecting military paper money.

Congratulations on your new job, do well and say hello to the friendly people of the Hoosier state. Oh, and it couldn't hurt to learn few things about basketball. Just in case you're in a pub or something. If you don't have time to learn the ins and outs of the game just say things like where is the weak side help, why isn't anybody rotating over. That way the other bar patrons will at least give you a nod.

    Tookybandit:

I am delighted your friend liked the sign! I had quite forgotten about that and am glad to get the update. That sign is an example of stuff I will not be collecting any more as piles of it are just too hard to move.

    Take care.

No kidding! That would have been one of those stories that made the news. "Used car buyer finds spare cash with spare tire."
