1957 Brooks PSA 8 question

I'm a Baltimore fan and a huge Brooks Robinson guy I'm currently 3 cards short on a basic registry set for him. Is it just me or is his rookie starting to take of a bit. I've noticed closing prices close to 3k on nice 8's. I'm glad I grabbed mine a few years back.

    It's one of many, many key rookie cards that has been climbing in price over the past few months.
    "My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. Our childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When we were insolent we were placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds - pretty standard really."
