  • Lyn Knight is a well known currency auction house.

this other firm = I have never heard of them... my guess is that a lot of people havent as well (I could be wrong)... thus no one is bidding prices up there.

After my personal experience in the field of coins ( not notes ) - this is a great company and outstanding and a high level of reliability.

As pointed out, not really comparable. This other auction house may be a good one for coins, but if currency collectors don't know about it or bid there it is not a valid comparable.

Even comparing similar notes sold by the same major auction house from one sale to the next has so many variables it is hard to draw conclusions until a longer term pattern emerges.

Ronen... you are making a personal opinion vs the facts that Randy (gnat) stated above. Whether they are reliable or not doesnt mean that people have heard of them.

And i dont doubt what you are saying... we can talk about it all day long... but it is what it is.

trust me, if I saw that auction it would not have sold as cheap as it did.

The company is very well known in the coins forum community here including its owner Ian and I didn't know that here it isn't known - at least now you know this company and and I think that would be more good opportunities there - I put when I am not optimistic $ 200 and went to sleep and almost won image

yup... prices arent down... rather, a coin auction firm had a few pieces of currency!

That is a great site with super people who run it! I haven't checked it in months because the currency offerings are usually slim to none.
