Nothing will be done. A. it's after the event and B. The commemorative coin programs for 2017 and 2018 are already full.

Public Law 104-208 limits the number of commemorative coin programs to 2 per year. 2016 already has the Mark Twain and National Park Service issues.

Article says McAuliffe commem will be dated 2016, sold in 2017. The only upcoming 2017 commem I know of is Lions Club, so maybe McAulfife would be sister release to Lions Club?

Jan. '86, I worked @ Raychem Corp, Menlo Park, CA, QC tech in the group that supplied wire harness connectors to the US military and NASA.

A TV was rolled out so the production workers could watch the launch. The rest is history.

A day later, I answered a phone call for the engineer on vacation, Danny Showalter (RIP). NASA was calling, big piece of white plastic has an "R" on it, trying to identify. Nope, not ours, we are wire harness, no big white plastic here, I replied.
