Found some old sports stuff 1930s

That is an album of some stuff I found in a box that was in a free pile after an estate sale. There are world series programs from the 30s and some stuff that from what I found out belonged to a local news paper editor in the 30s. Nothing in this dusty box was newer than the late 30s. I am just wondering mostly about what the worth could be and exactly what that baseball writers dinner was and whats the collectability of the stuff like the pressbox reservation telegram and stuff is worth. Sorry for so many pictures but I wanted to show everything I found to do with sports.

    I have no idea of value but I think it's some cool stuff. It all looks to be in excellent condition for its age. I like the fact someone kept score of one of the games.

    Great stuff! I don't envision much value to the telegrams, but the World Series programs appear to be in great shape. I could see something in the $200 - $300 ballpark on each of those - nice score!

    Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.

    What would be the best option to sell this kind of stuff? I'd think eBay wouldn't get too many eyes. Better to go to a bigger auction house? Lot the telegrams up and sell the programs separately? No idea what the OP wants to do, simply curious as to what would be the best way to move a lot like this.



    edit to add: I looked up the sports editor in the telegrams and there is currently a sports writer by the same name. Definitely not the same guy, but might be worth reaching out to him to see if this is a family member.

    Some of these WS programs look like reprints I believe.



    edit: I had a chance today to look up the reprints - these are so pristine but if reprinted by Robert D. Opie/ Publisher, "The Great World Series Program Collection" - it will be printed somewhere on the back e.g.



    I don't see anything like that on the backs. If these are all real? They're worth a nice chunk of change.
