This site has been a two year project in the works and we are dedicated to making a safe and fun environment for our Numismatic community. Collective Coin has progressed nicely, but is mainly a display venue.

If mdse is offered at market pricing, I could see a good conglomerated alternative to ever harder to work with eBay.

Hi Topstuf, thanks for replying. I'm not really sure what Collective Coin (I'm assuming the display site) has to do with the marketplace. CoinMP is owned and operated by Collectors (and programmers). What sets us apart from the very popular "4 letter word" auction site is our cost savings approach. With other auction sites you simply pay a final sales fee. This is not the case with CoinMP. Listings are permanent (until cancelled or sold) and you only pay a small Listing Setup fee, and we mean small. For any listing that is below $20.00, the listing is completely FREE, no catch. For all listings equal to or above $20.00, the listing fee is only $0.50. Our marketplace is built with all of the functions and familiarity you would see with other "BIG" sites, only smaller scale.
