1921 D Morgan VAM help, please
I am having difficulty identifying which VAM this coin is. I feel it is one of the 1Fs and I think maybe a 1F2, but not sure. There are similar die cracks on the obverse, especially around star #2. I appreciate your help.

i doubt those images will be sufficient. 21-p-d-s are TOUGH as nails to attribute from good images unless there major pups which i dont see on your coin.
looks like common cracks. may narrow it down but youd need all new updated info. to do this one.
the one site that should be isnt doing the job it should/can.
sure wish someone(s) out there would be up to making a competing and worthy site.
pipe dreams.

not 1f2, you need the horned O in OF.
that break top left of the E looks familiar. may be on the break list.

it helps to use the break guides (and other sort by guides/links) that are linked at the top of some pages.
there are over 5400 vams, so information can be a bit inconsistent with the people we have to work with.
it is what it is.
happy vamming and be careful in the 21-p-d-s series. some venture in, never to return...

Does ANYBODY have them all???
Some people make fun of my collecting so many varieties, but 5400+ VAM's have me beat!

D you scared me for a sec. thought i was quoting way too high and my brain failed me yet again. didnt see you stated morgan vam.
went to check and see now, we are close to 6K for morgan and peace.
WOWOW.
putting together a whole set. such a thought makes my blood run cold and my brain nearly anyeurysm. better be a savant with extreme drive and/or a lot of assistance and a major bankroll. unless you spend 50 years doing it and it still would be hard.
some seriously obscure stuff and the lack of thorough info/images is a huge deterrent.

Short answer: No.
Longer answer: There is one collector in Arizona with over 2700 of the 4600+ Morgans. 61% complete. Nobody else is anywhere near that, and I don't think anyone else is actively trying to get them all. There was another collector shown in the Acknowledgements of the VAM book, Martin Field, who had over 90% of the 1600 Morgan varieties known at the time (early 1980s). I not only don't recommend trying to get them all, I recommend not trying to get them all unless you have infinite patience, time, money, and storage. Many people have completed assorted dates and mints, either from a list of the known varieties or as a research project trying to make the VAM catalog as accurate as possible.
