Blue Flip to Red Flip Crossover - New Horrible Pricing

So in the past, PSA allowed blue flip authenticated auto cards to be crossed over to the red flips with card grading for the price of a regular submission. In fact, if you had enough of them , you could get bulk or monthly special pricing as well.

Well, that has ended for some reason. This in no longer allowed and CC vouchers can no longer be used for grading these cards either.

Instead, the new pricing looks to be $10 for cards valued under $100 and $17 for cards valued $100-$500. I assume this falls under the Grade Add On pricing.

My question is what is so different about this card grading that it warrants a special charge unlike any other grading they do? Does an already authenticated autograph by PSA really justify a 100-300% markup for grading or authenticating the card?

Also, my recent crossover submission was quoted at $18/card which doesn't even match the grade add on pricing.

The grade add on is for grading the autograph, not the card. Two separate things. "Red Flip" PSA/DNA cards are different than Dual Graded cards.

I think you are partially correct. Read the link I posted. It is also to get the card graded if desired. I think that applies to a card already in a red flip that has no grade for the card but is just determined to be an authentic card.

The words you are using do not compute. I would assume this is not a change in pricing, just lost in translation.

This is definitely a change in pricing as I have sent plenty of blue flips in to have the cards graded in the past using either CC vouchers, bulk pricing, or monthly specials. They are saying you cannot do that anymore and must pay the full regular rate as if you are only submitting one card now.

As for the add on, I was incorrect. However, the add on service is not just for autograph grades. It is also to have cards graded if the card was just deemed authentic before. That is in the link I posted.

Text from that link: For PSA authenticated cards valued between $100-$500 that need the card and/or autograph graded

    Choose the following options:

    Trading Card Grading

    Regular or small-sized cards

    Crossover

Collector's Club Special #1 (or bulk, etc)

    Then, PSA/DNA for "grading service".

If they did not allow blue to red crossovers, why would PSA/DNA be listed here or included at all? The change would entirely eliminate the concept of PSA/DNA crossovers.

I don't know why they don't allow it anymore. That's what I was asking. Yes, you can submit it to them that way...they will then contact you and say you have to pay more because it is not allowed anymore.
