Highest reported serial numbers

I bought a small currency deal at a recent local show and among the flotsam is a low grade $1 1935 G No Motto Silver Certificate, block BJ, with what seems like a fairly high serial number. This got me to ponder how I could verify how high the reported serials for this particular block (or other blocks for that matter) have been reported. The 10th edition S/L references observed high serials for a couple series/blocks, but not all, including block BJ for the '35 G N/M.
Any thoughts for locating this info?
By the way, the serial number is B99991837J.
