The PCGS Everyman Set is harder than I imagined

After completing the Dansco 7070 U.S. Major Type Collection (no gold page) in PCGS holders, I have challenged myself to complete it again except in the Everyman Set format (No coins graded higher than AU58 can be registered in this category) http://www.pcgs.com/News/Pcgs-...n-Collections-Category
I thought that this should be relatively easy and that I could focus on "eye appeal" and have this knocked within a short period of time. I can do this, in time, but I would like to have as many coins in AU58 as possible, with eye-appeal, which is a little harder than I expected.
I pitched the idea to the PCGS Registry personnel about a 19th Century Everyman Set, because I feel that 20th Type coins should be MS condition, and 19th Century (and earlier) coins should be in lower condition (AU58 or less). The PCGS Registry personnel replied back and said that they were not considering this set at this time, however it does have merit for possible future inclusion (paraphrasing).
There are several Everyman categories, but with the existing Everyman Complete U.S. Type Set (1792-1964), there are several coins that are just not obtainable with an "Everyman"'s budget. I certainly cannot afford a Chain Cent, Bust Half Disme (1792), Draped Bust Quarter, Small Eagle (1796), Flowing Hair Half Dollar (1794-1795) or a Flowing Hair Dollar (1794-1795) to name a few of the tough ones.
I guess I will stick with a "showcase" collection until that day comes.
What do you think?
Thank you for your interest and comments.

My type set is based on the Redbook varieties (variety being defined in the Redbook) and there are 186 coins. I still need about 20 but those would cost $200k to finish. (If I take the $4 Stella off since it's really a pattern that knocks $60k off for a low grade one)
But I agree with you in principle and I plan on redoing my type set along those lines. A type set in AU58 would be great, but on early coins I have like VF20's so 58's aren't reasonable.
I've got to spend some time and come up with a plan on what I want in my type set collection. Maybe it can match some Registry set?
