SAEs--the Unc and boxed kind

Is there a market premium compared to spot for the uncirculated and boxed SAEs, the ones with a MM and sold by the Mint? If so, who are the buyers?

TIA

There are modest premiums on eBay, later dates seem to fetch more than earlier dates. Not much to get excited about.

Except for the 2008-W reverse of 2007, these have never really caught on despite their relatively low mintages.

1996 bullion version is a prime low mintage date. Usually sells for between $45-$50.

Most of these were likely set aside by bullion investors who don't realize what they have.

Same goes for 1/2 ounce Gold Eagles from the late 80's and early 90's.

$35 to $50 on eBay in OGP - depends on the date. Probably better to subtract 10% off closed eBay prices and list as a group on BST
