PWCC setting high marks with 2001 Topps Baseball

To think that a PSA 10 of a star/HOFer would sell for more than PSA 10s of Pujols and Ichiro combined! Also, Clemens and Randy Johnson had PSA 10s sell in the $100 range as well. I know the Pujols and Ichiro were in Update sets, but the same condition sensitive card design was used. I watched the beginning from the outset and it raced to $100 and ballooned as the auction came to a close. Don't get me wrong, I am a Maddux collector and I need this card for one of my sets, but I would find better options for my money!

That's just insane, shows what that holder means. Condition sensitive or not that price can only happen when two bidders just don't wanna lose.

I have the over under set at $175 seeing that the 2nd underbidder was at $300.

It's a Pop 5 but, yeah...that's a little pricey.

An '03 Topps went for about that much a couple of years ago when it was similarly low.

Maybe it's because Maddux has a higher batting average than Pujols this year
