US Mint Coin Capsules - Is there an easy way to tell which capsules go with each coin?

In a recent move, I found several very large boxes of US Mint coin capsules I've accumulated over the years. There are thousands of capsules, returned from PCGS, but none of the bags/boxes are marked. These cover coins from 2003 to 2016 of every denomination and composition.

Is there any way to tell which capsules go with which coins with some certainty? A website with internal/external dimensions would be great...

You may have to make a list yourself by using the individual coins specs for internal dimensions. External will be a different issue but once you have a couple actual measurements, a standard thickness from internal to external could be derived. Do you have a micrometer for quick measurement of unknown capsules? I'm afraid it's going to be a long list. But maybe not. How many actual different coin dimensions are there since they started using capsules?

I have a caliper. There are a different external dimensions with the same internal dimensions I've found. In some cases, although the coin may fit in the capsule, the capsule will not if in the OGP for specific item.

I believe the first spouse gold coins changed their capsule design early on after some reports of coins coming out in transit. I would like to get rid of them but want to make sure they are what I think they are before shipping them out. The 5oz ATB coin capsules are easily identified image

I see OGP and capsules for sale some times at places like MCM. After they send a bunch for slabbing they gotta have a pile of this stuff.

You may have set a difficult task for your self.
