Turn the channel off Fox News and you'll see that nobody else is reporting this except Fox based on TMZ.

Wait for the facts, not TMZ facts reported by Faux News.

Did we ever hear the real facts about how Elvis died?

Sure. According to his death certificate, Elvis died of heart failure while straining at stool

Opiates cause constipation and Elvis was on the toilet with a rock hard softball sized stool that he couldn't get out.

It happens more than you think with drug abusers.

I'd heard that explanation a number of times, but I wasn't sure if it was official.

    RIP.

So true... Some will consider him Legend status. Self taught musician (rumored - 20+), penned multi-hits (himself and for others), generous (with charities and mentoring artist) and respect in his industry. RIP

On a side note... he has been linked to real some beauties over the years too!

    Her is a short read:

Prince's former drug dealer tells how the legend spent $40,000 at a time on six-month supplies of Dilaudid pills and Fentanyl patches - highly addictive opioid pain killers - for 25 years

Now THAT's a highly respected news source. Probably a step above Brian Williams. LOL

    Exactly.

Goodness, let the man RIP and maybe some of us can still appreciate the incredible energy and talent, not to mention wit he shared (the latter on occasion as he was so private).

BTW, maybe some of those who have had hip replacements can tell us how little pain they have.....

So why would he/they lie? Just because he was in a scum business doesn't automatically make him a liar.

The manner of death [if true] can also serve as a reminder that that crap can kill you. Had he not been a user, he might still be here wowing you with his energy and talent. Then again, without the stimulus his energy and talent might have been mediocre at best.

Drugs or AIDs seems most likely.

apparently Bajjer nailed it, not that any of us should be surprised. this looks like it will play out like Michael Jackson with indictments of a doctor. what puzzles me is the use of the term "accidental" overdose. is there really such a thing??

Google autoerotic asphyxiation. Apparently, some folks have unintentionally hung/strangled themselves during.

Some probably intentionally overdose, but don't intend it to be fatal.

RIP Prince. I'm not a big fan of his music, but was absolutely blown away at his concert in Los Angeles in 2003/2004. Still ranks as the best concert I've ever seen.

Such a truly amazing talent. Such a profound loss.

Looks like a prescription drug OD from early info. If so, how sad. So many incredibly talented people have died young from various drugs. Such a tragic waste.

I meet a Memphis police officer that was called to Graceland the day Elvis died. His comment was that the King died on the thrown. Or more specifically he said that Elvis died when he fell off the thrown and suffocated in the thick shag carpet.
