I am sooo excited to have located a Narrow Face $10 FRN!!! When I first started collecting small size currency, I spent way too much time studying the S&L book. There were notes in the reference that were big WOW notes for me and this is one of them!

Having good references and studying them is never wasted time nor can you really spend too much time as your newest acquisition demonstrates. Congrats on nabbing a "WOW."

Too bad there won't be an 11th edition of the book!
I was thinking this too! We have to get a plan going. Maybe via the SPMC? The single best thing for the small size hobby in my opinion is getting a new edition or an equivalent replacement reference released. A new collector is not going to be very impressed when they see a 6+ year old publication date for what they are told is the go to book!!!!
Here is a link to a 1934C Narrow Thread which discusses these notes in more detail.
