Very rare Bowers & Merena 1988 1 oz silver round.
In the 1980s, Q. David Bowers contracted with US Mint chief engraver Frank Gasparro (Lincoln memorial cent, Kennedy half reverse) to make a short series of rounds.
This one features then Republican presidential candidate George HW Bush in an exceptionally well executed rendering.
Q. David Bowers, Bowers & Merena, Stacks, Lincoln cent/Kennedy half, Frank Gasparro, George HW Bush, and pure silver? This could be the ultimate silver round.
Stacks sold a complete set for over $30 each six years ago. When they appear on eBay, the individuals go for $60. This example has some contact marks and hairlines in the fields.
Asking $45 shipped OBO
