A National Bank ... without the National

While transcribing Pennsylvania notes for the Smithsonian's digital collection of BEP certified proofs, I came upon a national bank that does not have "National" as part of its name: The Bank of North America, charter 602. Is this the only such bank?

    yes, required an act of Congress to maintain the title of the historic predecessor bank.
    Always interested in St Louis MO & IL metro area and Evansville IN national bank notes and Vatican/papal states coins and medals!
