selling for a friend, nice example of the "Little orphan Annie" although it does have a thin shallow scratch in the central obverse. at the VG level, a scratch seems rather trivial. for those that are not aware, this dime had an original mintage of only 72,500 which was low even by 19th century standards. it is estimated that only around 3% of the original mintage survives to be enjoyed today. that translates to 97% of the original mintage no longer exists. $220 by postal m/o or trade for 90% halves/quarters
