Anyone collect Panic of 1907 notes?

I recently bought a collection of depression scrip and it included some Panic of 1893 and Panic of 1907 scrip. I had to buy the whole group or nothing. There was alot more of the 1933 scrip so it was a no brainer. The 1907 scrip is cool and some are really nice, but it's not really my thing. I have some notes, but the Panic of 1907 get expensive fast and I never have trouble finding and spending my money on 1933 depression scrip. So I only get the 1907 stuff when it's cheap (rarely), or is common, or it comes to me as part of a bigger deal as is this case.

Here are some examples that are in the collection. I'm debating about sending all the 1907 scrip to auction or maybe hang on to it for a trade someday... I don't know. But at least I thought I would share a few of the notes here as they are pretty neat if you ask me. If anyone likes these, I can always post some more pics on request.

The St. Joseph MO set is pretty neat as they are all stamped as SPECIMEN front and back.

    I do.
  • If anyone has any, you can add some pics to this thread. They're interesting to look at but like I said, they get expensive fast so I don't really collect them. I normally only see the rare and more interesting notes in auctions and then they are gone. I can post more from this book later today.

I try, think I have 3 on STL and less than 10 for the rest of the country. Hard to find on STL except for the $1 NBC piece.
Always interested in St Louis MO & IL metro area and Evansville IN national bank notes and Vatican/papal states coins and medals!

It sounds like an impressive purchase! Let me know if there's any Rhode Island stuff in there (though I have the 1933 Providence Clearing House certificates).

  • No Rhode Island that I remember. I know that none of the 1907 notes are from Rhode Island.
