Just reworked one of my vintage pages

I've been using plain black backgrounds for so long, so I thought I'd try something a little different. My imagination only goes so far, and I'm far from proficient with any official web page building programs. I use a fairly simply WYSIWYG editor, and it's fairly tedious to make wholesale change like this. Thought I'd get some feedback before tackling some of my other collection pages.

Really, it's just a shameless attempt to get y'all to say nice things about my ratty-ass cards!

Wow. Very well done sir. Ive been considering doing the same. It looks like a lot of work but your end product was well worth it. Any reason you went this route vs going with Collectors Focus which seems fairly easy to work with. But I'm just getting started and wouldn't even know where to begin. I appreciate any opinions or advice as well as thanks again for sharing your collection.

I've honestly never heard of Collectors Focus before. Just checked it out, and the format doesn't work for me. Then there were about 20 attempted redirects that Norton squashed - that's more than reason enough for me to stay away.

Hmm. Sorry about that. I don't blame you. Ive never once had a problem and believe me it seems I get more than my share. Now Im a bit worried. Weird. Anyways, Im finding it supereasy to use the last couple days vs photo bucket etc which are such a pain. If you ever get a chance i recommend checking it out. Although it seems that there are more big hitters there than my collection comes anywhere close to. You guys have prewar in common. Im kind of new so are there any sites where people post their collections? Im not into coding or programming and need point and click. Thanks and continue sharing.

I love the Turkey Red set. Great artwork. I have been meaning to pick a few up. They seem like they would be great displays for a man cave given their size and color.

site looks great and I love those cards. I have a bad habit of caring too much about the condition of old cards. That bad habit is keeping me from owning any old cards. Again these are awesome, and seeing them makes me want to start something similar with early hockey or football cards.

Thanks for the feedback, everyone. I truly appreciate it. Nice to know that I didn't waste a bunch of time on the design.

Shane, I didn't stop at 1989 - I actually petered out in 1982. I'll be it's been at least four years since I last scanned any team sets. Guess I'll have to get that rolling again sometime.

Okay, so here's another idea I worked on over the past couple of days. Thought it would be cool to present my collection in custom slabs - started with the 1952 team set to see how it looked.

And Just to remove any potential confusion: none of these cards are graded or intended to be represented as such. Yes, I tweaked scans of actual TPG slabs and have held to their flip format, but there will never be any intent to represent my beat-to-heck Dodgers as TPG-graded or -approved.
