My first dual autographed card service Wrestling Dan Gable

As I mentioned before, I sent in three Sportscasters under the dual service for my three PSA grades though the registry program. The Dan Gable Sportscaster card from Finland holds a special meaning to me as a collector. Many years ago, probably around 15 years ago I won the Finnish Gable and the collector who I often battled it out with for amateur wrestling cards exchanged emails that eventually turned into a great friendship. On my way to Chicago I stayed at his house in Iowa City, then I again stayed at his house when the NCAA Championships were hosted there and we have since traveled to the NCAAs and even this past September in Las Vegas for the World Championships. Anyways, I was thrilled to have a PSA MINT 9 grade with this card and having a PSA 10 autographed card for it.

I love your autographed Dan Gable card. I well recall watching him wrestle in the 72 Olympics. Cheered my lungs out for him as he wrestled for the gold. I was so proud of him. Though he did not win the gold, I had as much respect and admiration for his teammate, Super Heavyweight Chris Taylor. His early demise hit me hard.

Again, congratulations on a great autographed card. Thanks too for your marvelous story. The friendships we develop in our passion interests and hobbies are very deep and personal.

A guy I work with was a college wrestler in the 70s and a big Dan Gable fan. He was just talking about him last week. Great looking autograph!
