Ebay Does it Again

I got my ebay bucks this weekend and ended up spending it on a few items, I just noticed that now you no longer get eBay bucks when you used your ebay bucks. Before you did, but it looks like that is no longer the case.

Another quiet cutback.

Had to be the rules/exception for the particular category you bought in. I used my bucks towards a purchase, and got bucks for it?

I bought a $95 item with $65 in Ebay Bucks and received $1.90 in Ebay Bucks for the purchase. Seems like nothing has changed.
    I love the 3 P's: PB&J, PBR and PCGS.

    No change for me either.

Bought an item Wednesday with eBay Bucks earned during Jan-March and got 2% for the April-June period. Hoping a special will happen later in the month for 8% or 10% Bucks so I can spend the rest of what I have available.
    When in doubt, don't.

Nope, was an ancient coin, which I have done many times before with ebay bucks.

Getting bucks though on regular buys still.

I got the normal rate when I just spent my ebay bucks... make sure you check the category. Could be one of that is exempt .

Maybe just ping customer service? If you really should have gotten bucks but didn't, maybe it was due to a glitch, and they can put X in your account. Can't hurt to try. image

Check your ebay bucks account. Sometimes they don't show up in the transaction but do post to your account.

check the category on what you bought, may not be eligible for the regular bucks. Listed category determines eligibility, not the title or the description.

It's not eBay but the seller.
I had the same thing happen. I used my eBay bucks for a modern PCGS gold coin and didn't get any new bucks.

Then I saw the seller didn't list it under the Modern Gold category image.

Listed in category: Coins & Paper Money > Bullion >Gold >Coins

can you leave bad feedback for the seller because you didn't get ebay bucks ?
regardless of how many posts I have, I don't consider myself an "expert" at anything

Did you buy it on ebay.com?

If you make the purchase through, say, ebay.co.uk you won't get bucks.

I've passed on several items because they were listed in the bullion category when they didn't have to be. Some sellers probably don't realize they are losing sales by not being more careful about the categories they list in.
