Star Notes at lunch

Hello,

Did I pass up an easy score?

At lunch today I noticed my change was two brand new $1 FRN star notes. I asked the cashier and she sold me twenty in consecutive serial number order. So with my change I now have 22 2013 star notes in consecutive serial number order.

She also had a $100 strap of star notes she was willing to sell me.

Do these sell for more if you have the whole strap? Are they easy to sell?

I live in Dallas, Texas and collect coins. I have a few small notes that I've gotten over the years. $100 in notes isn't something I'd hang on to but curious if it was easy to sell at a profit.

Thank you board members,

I still call my accumulation my collection!

The pack would have sold for more than face value. Post one of the SN's from the change you got! Some districts are scarcer than others and can have low print runs.

Yes, district is everything. Even if you have a common district, you may have one of the shorter print runs.

Never pass up an opportunity to buy a strap of star notes. It is something you can quickly flip on the currency BST board, without paying fees. If it doesn't sell quickly, you can always spend it!

    Thank you for your responses,

    I have G 01272869 * to G 01272890 * in consecutive order.

Next time I'll make a run to an ATM and buy the strap.
