1959 Washington Quarter NGC MS65 Rich Rainbow Toned REDUCED!

The unusual vibrant golden burnt umber color over brilliant luster obverse strikes you right off the bat. Then when you take it in-hand, you realize it's rainbow target toned. From 10:00 to 1:00 top and from 4:00 to 8:00 bottom there are beautiful iridescent rainbow crescents of colors go from violet to lemon to cerulean to cobalt to magenta:

The upper crescent isn't quite as dramatic as the lower, but it's much cooler to have the best rainbow across the date, don't you think?

The reverse is completely golden brown as well, and just as flashy as the obverse. It too has rainbow tone, but in a narrower crescent and just between 4:00 and 7:00, trailing off to a mix of red and purple to about 9:00.

The rainbow toning apparently didn't qualify her for a "*" designation. It isn't in your face or over the top by any means. Maybe because the golden color mutes it and makes it less apparent than it would be on a white coin. But that golden color is dramatic by itself. The subtle rainbows just add to the unique look of this piece. Asking $75 shipped.
