Stock Photos? On an 1896-S Barber Half in PC53?

A friend recently acquired an 1896-S Barber Half in PC53 from a big west coast dealer. Several days later he noticed his coin was still on their site. Trying to be helpful, he called to let them know that his coin was still listed. He was told that they had another 1896-S half in PC53, and were using a stock photo (which happened to be the one my friend bought). No where in the current listing did it state that the picture was of a stock photo. He asked why they wouldn't put up a picture of the actual coin since it's a fairly rare one, and was told that they had thousands of coins and couldn't take the time to photograph all of them.
Huh?????
Huh?????

Raw Jefferson Nickels? I get it. Slabbed $1,000 coins? Terrible.
