The sticker matters!

PSA 10 PWCC High End Jordan Sticker

It looks like Brent's certified high end program is a clear success. Explosive price on this Jordan PSA 10 sticker.

A clear marketing success, but do experienced collectors really need someone who is selling the item in question to tell them it's high end for the grade?

Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.

I personally think it is gimmicky but at the end of the day the prices that are being achieved are clearly higher so you have to call it a success.

It would make more sense to me to pay above market prices for the certification if they also pointed out clear misses on the third party graders part. It seems like it is only designed to help sellers and not really buyers. There is a card they have listed right now that is a clearly trimmed card that is listed as popular card and worthy of attention. I would put more weight on a sellers opinion if they were being harsh on items too.

I would be pissed to buy a graded card and have a sticker on the slab.
  • But it's unterly cool to the advid collector.

    Could not agree more.

I find it interesting that an outside person/auction house, etc. needs to allude that the card is high end. And I do agree with PWCC most of the time that the card is a higher end card. But maybe PSA or Beckett, etc should reflect this with their grade. If a card is an 8 and appears perfectly centered, it should be an 8.5. The market is definitely dictating that centering matters alot. very few if any of my nearly perfect centered cards ever come back with the .5 grade from PSA. Beckett does a little better.
Work hard and you will succeed!!

Sloppy item description. Do you remember when his first stickers said "high calibur"? Weak.

Looks like a large spot on the left hand border on the back.
