A curiosity question about TR Is this a site where just trading posts are allowed.What I've noticed on my short time on CU is that most of the bashing starts from non-trading post, especially the Laker non-Laker factions.I was wondering what the nature of TR posts are exactly
Thank you VInny. My members have class and dignity as do you. We are a close knit family at TR Vinny. And just like brothers, when ones in trouble, the others come running. Although some might not say the politcally correct thing. I know there heart and commitment is in the right place and Im proud of that. I know my guys and i know they arent bashing CU, just certain people in CU that have gotten away with murder here. We respect CU and its proven members, and we mean no disrespect to them.

I know I can be a little rough around the edges (frankly, I'm proud of that) but the intent of me post in this to defend TR...the best trading site on the web, no question (yes that includes CE...we are very much in the infant stages right now, but our statire will grow as well).
Just because people like vinny can't get in, doesn't give them any right to slam us, especially for not letting someone liek vittleboy in.

I once was posted as a bad trader as well, like you are... BUT look at me now, I have never ripped anyone off, but my immature trials got me under the category of "BAD TRADER" But I worked my way up by trading with the right people and sending first so I would get the word out that I have changed and that I AM a GOOD trader. I advise you that you should just KEEP WORKING on doing this and maybe you will be in someday

JSA- You know how much I respect and consider you a friend, and I thank you for trying to put all of this in the right perspective. You all know how much I love CU and am trying my best to make this a fun and friendly place to trade and make friends. I too take offense when someone comes on our site and calls it a dumping ground. I know most of you from your beginnings on CU and don't think it is fair for those of us that like it here to be told that one site is better than another. I just know that this site is for now open to all, and I would like to see it stay that way. Hopefully with some new changes that will be taking place soon, we won't have as many of the problems that have occured in the past. I feel that each individual collector determines the value of their cards. The only reason we all use beckett is b/c WE ALL USE BECKETT. Everyone does, its unavoidable. I agree with you Joyce. And its exactly good people like you that i dont want to get offended by some of these comments. I know for a fact, the guys mean well and to see them stand up for TR like that is awesome. We just need to do it in a way thats not offensive to the good guys on CU (and theres quite a few of them). I know this is getting old, but again I apologize for this TR stuff getting put on the CU board.

I, like Ryan, am 23, and tend to let my testosterone get the best of me. I started out explaining what little i knew of why vittleboy was removed from TR, just so he knew. I was trying to help him out. I was never disrespectful to him, until he created the reply (which was quickly deleted by him) in which he attacked me personally, and when i am attacked- i retaliate. I still think i did a great job of keeping my cool, and actually had a decent PM conversation w/ vittleboy giving him pointers on how to get into TR. Then coachvinny butted in for no apparent reason and attacked me by attacking TR members in general. I don't give a rats behind how great of a trader he is and what he does for his community and yadda yadda, he had NO right to say what he said, and his being 44 years old would leave one to believe that he'd display a bit more maturity than the 16-25 year olds here. But that was not the case, and i reacted accordingly. He is still insulting me for making immature posts towards him, and i do not understand that. He insulted me on no grounds, i have never conversed w/ him a lick, and he comes out and insults me for NO reason. At least i had a reason to insult him, and that reason being he verbally attacked me and my fellow TR brothers. I am a very verbal, straight-shooter, and coachvinny acted like an @$$, so i called him an @$$. I am not going to sugarcoat things to make them politically correct, b/c that is not who i am-- like it or not.... I like CU, i love TR, and will continue to be active in both (perhaps in a more constructive way at TR).

JErik, I couldv'e written that post word for word and not changed a thing. I too, tried to help vittle at first, I pm'd him and told him it would be smart to edit his ost ans try not to be so confrontational, and then this vinny clown sticks his nose in and makes a judgement about everyone on TR, which includes me and a lot of good freinds. After that, I don't care if coachvinny is mother friggin theresa in his community and the trader of the decade, he's just a jacka-- as far as I'm concerned.
As far as vittleboy, he totally shot himself in the foot, because rest assured he will NEVER be on TR now.

I think many remember Myself and Vittle fighting on here many,many,many,many,many times...But I gotta say he's a member on CE and a very active and (GASP) polite one at that..And over the last few months he's grown on me..Does'nt change what we fought about before.Because back then I could'nt stand him..But I can honestly say he's not the same person he was when he first came to CU..
I'm a TR member (Although an extremely inactive one) I don't trade there,But have many friends there so I retain my membership to keep in touch,..
Same with CU it has some major major problems lately..And I take shots at it's lack of looking out for it's core users,But I come here for the same reason...Have friends here that are loyal to CU.So I stay on here to keep in touch..And a good argument now and then never hurt anybody...
man this is probably my fault...I personally invited 3 members of other sites that i have traded with to join TR... near the same time I was trying to figure out a way to ban vittleboy altogether from TR after his negative post against TR and Evan for a trade they did.. I have tried to check my steps to make sure I didnt accidently cause all this... to no avail but it is a distinct possibility with all the cutting and pasting and the like that i actually did invite vittles to join.. and I in no way would have done that knowingly... and if I did.. and it looks like I did, I sincerely apologize for all that I have caused including the arguing with some guys that I have tons of respect for. Lets face facts..I would never invite vittles in knowingly..but I also wouldnt start this giant spat.. Vittles I am the one that banned you. I was shocked and astonished you were a member...I am sorry for what I have done.. but i assure you it was an accident..I know that aint good enough.. but its all I have.

But basically it said I would like to welcome you to TR, what ever you done is in the pass it that behind you. I assumed since you was accepted in everything was good. I'm not sure how or who runs TR, and I may get banned for some of the things I say or do, so stay tuned and when I have more time to read all these wonderful takes, I'll give you mine, if interested it will be my take as a member at TR since 5/24/02. Sorry, I do not have time now to comment on it. But some of these takes from my fellow TR members appear to be rude and unnecessary, not just to you but some of the other members here at CU, I think they are more then welcome to say how they see thing. This is CU or am I mistaken and this is TR stomping grounds? Cause I have seen a lots of TR members knocking CU but you are still here and a member? Why if you think this is such a bad place why are TR members here, that thinks like that? But one response from one of the TR members stick in my mind, sorry not sure who said but I think it came in the thread about looking for moderatos. They was saying something like this, I don't care about CU anyway cause it's going down the drain or something like that. But I see thing coming together nicely around here since they showed what they will tolerate and not.

If it's like winning the lottery your number match the numbers in the newspaper, yeah you feel good seeing the numbers match yours and you are the big winner of many dollars according to what you see. Then you go to the lottery place to pick up your winnings and you find out the newspaper had a misprint and you are not the big winner. Who's wrong, who should pay? I don't know, but I may get upset and say something stupid I may regret later, I don't know. But what little I have read here is TR you accepted vittleboy and less then a few hours you pull him, got to be disappointing in his eyes. And vittleboy if they made a mistake at TR try to forgive them, cause that's what I thought they was doing when they accepted you in the first place. Man I'm late for work, I hope I don't get Fired, if so I'll be back and have time to comment on each and every responce, I'll have nothing better to do. So if that happens you may want to ban me hear from CU. Later!!! Sorry for the rambling on, I seem to do that at times.

I thought you did something stupid while you was a member. You got booted because TR made all these mistake. Man I think they could have handle this differently since they are admitting to making all the mistakes not you my man. Usually in real life the ones who makes the mistake, should not make the one not making the mistake pay. Man good thing I'm not moderating TR. If my fellow members at TR did do this to you like this I'm really sorry. They could have pulled you aside and lay the law down to you and at the first sign of a problem and then pulled you, since they made the mistake not you. They could have put you on probation and say if we hear nothing bad about you in 2 months you good cause we made the mistake not you. The guy who made the mistake could have pulled you aside and say I am gonna monitor all you trades for the next 3 months and the first sign of mix-up you're out of here cause we made the mistake not you. But if this is the way they handle a mistake they make, nothing we can do now, but hope they learned from there mistake and it don't happen to someone else. Play with you emotions like that. O well let's move ahead and trade. Let me know what you want and I'm sure we can make it happen. Also try to join the site with my scans on. That is the main reason he was banned from TR. He was also let in without the approvel and background check that all members go through. If you read his recent posts, vittleboy was suprised also that he was accepted to TR as his shady past does not let him be a member. Its nice that you are the forgiving type and i applaud you for that but trust is a huge part of trading online and this guys past problems throws trust right out the door.

Eric, If all you said is true and I'll take you word on it. I myself have a VERY SHADY PAST. Why did TR accept me was that another mistake? I have mine hidden, would that change things? I'm sure if my past got out, no site in there right mind would accept me, except CU which accept all. Am I the only one at TR with a VERY SHADY PAST (hidden or not)? I hope not. But I have changed and I know how it is to be on the short end of thing, it's real hard to get the other side to see that people can change. And I think, that what makes this case so sad. vittleboy was putting an honest effort into getting into TR, by showing he was good by trading with a TR member. Maybe vittleboy didn't go about things the way you and I would, but I see the effort on shaking the tag of VERY SHADY PAST side. Then he gets an Invitation to TR, he fill he has someone believing in him in his corner for a change, which is hard sometimes with a VERY SHADY PAST (TR MISTAKE #1). Okay so he applies and he is accepted, man they are forgiven traders here at TR, to vittleboy disbelief I must be okay since they accepted me, too (TR MISTAKE #2). He's on cloud 9 thinking and saying, finally someone is in my corner and see I've changed Thanks TR for letting my past be behind me. That's when I became a part of this sad sorry, I saw in his email to the group he was very happy to be accepted and no way was anyone gonna get him down. So I wanted to reassure him in my welcome to the group email his past was behind him and that they are forgiving people at TR and not some of the things you read about them at CU and you can get over anything, your pass is your pass let move on to the great future ( My big mistake for jumping the gun). Then I awake and I assumed my man had made a mistake, while he was a member ( my mistake), So please just true facts for me.
I quess I think and hope if this happens again, I hope TR don't just up and kick the next poor trader out, for his past just because TR made all the mistakes. I can maybe understand one of these being a mistake and good enought to kick vittleboy to the curb. But it appears to me TR made more then 1 mistake here and the only way they saw to handle it was bootin him out right away, not thinking about thing maybe go over your option with other, at least think about what you are doing, maybe think on it for 24 hours. I'm not sure, but what would thinking and going over some option since TR appears to be making the mistakes?
I see TR allow their member some freedom, like using other sites for fun and games and come back home (TR) and saying it's okay just you don't do that here at home. So this is my take of this thing. I may be right or I could be wrong. I hope this hasn't cost me some friend at TR or anywhere who see things in a differant light. I'm sorry if I stepped on anyone toes.
Mike, i dont know about YOUR past and did not do a backgorund ck on you but i trust the member of TR who did and from what i have seen you seem to be a great guy. But forgiving a person for their past actions that they have done recently or keep doing is a whole other ballgame. If you really feel the way you do why dont you trade with brandon rusnak? If you dont know who he is then LMK and i will give you his many names, addys, tel numbers, TR names, email addys, etc. TR was made to have only honest members to deal with and to go to a place that is safe and you dont have to worry about rippoffs and scammers. When we have a problem with a member they are dealt with and if severe enough they are removed. If you are ripped off while a member of TR and it was by a member of TR you atleast get some type of compensation of cards to atleast quell the loss. To me that tells alot about the honesty of our members and who we let in. Its great to see TR is one of the safest places to trade on the internet.
As far as TR making mistakes..we are not perfect and will make mistakes again just like everyone does. We try to learn from our mistakes and not do it again. Notice that the person who let Vittles in owned up to it and appoligized for it. Case closed.

Johnsauc, You right, I'm not very active just found out I was a member 5/29/2002 8:42 PM that's why I asked, you did not introduce yourself. You are right about the problem part but I have a busy real world life, if you know what I mean and you are right, I should had took time out of my busy schedule to email you. But I'm a new member at TR and wasn't really sure how to handle things there, so I guess I should have handle it your way, which makes since to me, now. Please accept my apologies. Yes, please send me all you have on vittleboy. But since you are one of the council members, why didn't you or one of the others take time out of your/their busy life to help a new member out after you was seeing I was having a problem, could have helped a lot, I think. Also it would help if you took time to welcome new members with an email so they would know that they was accepted, I did not know I was a member till someone told me 5 days later. I think I'm following TR rule number 10 better then some that has been there longer. Again I'm really sorry I did not handle it your way. BUT look at me now, I have never ripped anyone off, but my immature trials got me under the category of "BAD TRADER" But I worked my way up by trading with the right people and sending first so I would get the word out that I have changed and that I AM a GOOD trader. I advise you that you should just KEEP WORKING on doing this and maybe you will be in someday

I'm a TR member (Although an extremely inactive one) I don't trade there,But have many friends there so I retain my membership to keep in touch,..
Same with CU it has some major major problems lately..And I take shots at it's lack of looking out for it's core users,But I come here for the same reason...Have friends here that are loyal to CU.So I stay on here to keep in touch..And a good argument now and then never hurt anybody...

I'm a new member at TR and I'm sorry I welcomed you at TR if you was not a member.
I'm not sure if you read my welcome email or not. I can't find it they may had banned that too.
But basically it said I would like to welcome you to TR, what ever you done is in the pass it that
behind you. I assumed since you was accepted in everything was good. I'm not sure how or who runs TR,
and I may get banned for some of the things I say or do, so stay tuned and when I have more time to
read all these wonderful takes, I'll give you mine, if interested it will be my take as a member at TR
since 5/24/02. Sorry, I do not have time now to comment on it. But some of these takes from my
fellow TR members appear to be rude and unnecessary, not just to
you but some of the other members here at CU, I think they are more then welcome to say how they see thing. This is CU or am I mistaken and this is TR stomping grounds? Cause I have seen a lots of TR members knocking CU but you are still here and a member? Why

But one response from one of the TR members stick in my mind, sorry not sure who said but I think it came in the thread about looking for moderatos. They was saying something like this, I don't care about CU anyway cause it's going down the drain or something like that. you feel good seeing the numbers match yours and you are the big winner of many dollars according to what you see. Then you go to the lottery place to pick up your winnings and you find out the newspaper had a misprint and you are not the big winner.
Who's wrong, who should pay? I don't know, but I may get upset and say something stupid I may regret later, I don't know. But what little I have read here is TR you accepted vittleboy and less then a few hours you pull him, got to be disappointing in his eyes. And vittleboy if they made a mistake at TR try to forgive them, cause that's what I thought they was doing when they accepted you in the first place. Man I'm late for work, I hope I don't get Fired, if so I'll be back and have time to comment on each and every responce, I'll have nothing better to do. So if that happens you may want to ban me hear from CU. Later!!!

Man, I'm lost. Am I reading this right. I thought you did something stupid while you was a member. You got booted because TR made all these mistake. Man I think they could have handle this differently
since they are admitting to making all the mistakes not you my man. Usually in real life the ones who makes the mistake, should not make the one not making the mistake pay. Man good thing I'm not moderating TR. If my fellow members at TR did do this to you like this I'm really sorry. They could have pulled you aside and lay the law down to you and at the first sign of a problem and then pulled you, since they made the mistake not you. They could have put you on probation and say if we hear nothing bad about you in 2 months you good cause we made the mistake not you. The guy who made the mistake could have pulled you aside and say I am gonna monitor all you trades for the next 3 months and the first sign of mix-up you're out of here cause we made the mistake not you. But if this is the way they handle a mistake they make, nothing we can do now, but hope they learned from there mistake and it don't happen to someone else. Play with you emotions like that. O well let's move ahead and trade.
Let me know what you want and I'm sure we can make it happen. Also try to join the site with my scans on. Let me know what you like of mine and if you don't want to move this card I'm sure I can find something.

Eric, If all you said is true and I'll take you word on it. I myself have a VERY SHADY PAST. Why did TR accept me was that another mistake? I have mine hidden, would that change things? I'm sure if my past got out, no site in there right mind would accept me, except CU which accept all. Am I the only one at TR with a VERY SHADY PAST (hidden or not)? I hope not. But I have changed and I know how it is to be on the short end of thing, it's real hard to get the other side to see that people can change. And I think, that what makes this case so sad. vittleboy was putting an honest effort into getting into TR, by showing he was good by trading with a TR member. Maybe vittleboy didn't go about things the way you and I would, but I see the effort on shaking the tag of VERY SHADY PAST side. Then he gets an Invitation to TR, he fill he has someone believing in him in his corner for a change, which is hard sometimes with a VERY SHADY PAST (TR MISTAKE #1). Okay so he applies and he is accepted, man they are forgiven traders here at TR, to vittleboy disbelief I must be okay since they accepted me, too (TR MISTAKE #2). He's on cloud 9 thinking and saying, finally someone is in my corner and see I've changed Thanks TR for letting my past be behind me. That's when I became a part of this sad sorry, I saw in his email to the group he was very happy to be accepted and no way was anyone gonna get him down. So I wanted to reassure him in my welcome to the group email his past was behind him and that they are forgiving people at TR and not some of the things you read about them at CU and you can get over anything, your pass is your pass let move on to the great future ( My big mistake for jumping the gun). Then I awake and I assumed my man had made a mistake, while he was a member ( my mistake), So please just true facts for me.
I quess I think and hope if this happens again, I hope TR don't just up and kick the next poor trader out, for his past just because TR made all the mistakes. I can maybe understand one of these being a mistake and good enought to kick vittleboy to the curb. But it appears to me TR made more then 1 mistake here and the only way they saw to handle it was bootin him out right away, not thinking about thing maybe go over your option with other, at least think about what you are doing, maybe think on it for 24 hours.
I'm not sure, but what would thinking and going over some option since TR appears to be making the mistakes?
I see TR allow their member some freedom, like using other sites for fun and games and come back home (TR) and saying it's okay just you don't do that here at home.
So this is my take of this thing. I may be right or I could be wrong. I hope this hasn't cost me some friend at TR or anywhere who see things in a differant light. I'm sorry if I stepped on anyone toes.

As far as TR making mistakes..we are not perfect and will make mistakes again just like everyone does. We try to learn from our mistakes and not do it again. Notice that the person who let Vittles in owned up to it and appoligized for it. Case closed.

You right, I'm not very active just found out I was a member 5/29/2002 8:42 PM that's why I asked, you did not introduce yourself. You are right about the problem part but I have a busy real world life, if you know what I mean and you are right, I should had took time out of my busy schedule to email you. But I'm a new member at TR and wasn't really sure how to handle things there, so I guess I should have handle it your way, which makes since to me, now. Please accept my apologies. Yes, please send me all you have on vittleboy. But since you are one of the council members, why didn't you or one of the others take time out of your/their busy life to help a new member out after you was seeing I was having a problem, could have helped a lot, I think. Also it would help if you took time to welcome new members with an email so they would know that they was accepted, I did not know I was a member till someone told me 5 days later. I think I'm following TR rule number 10 better then some that has been there longer. Again I'm really sorry I did not handle it your way. Also my first post at TR was supposed to be just for fun, I'm sorry. And then my second to vittleboy , I'm not sure if I'll be allowed a third.(just kidding I think)

The Council is new as well(A week old) it was formed to deal with issues along with management to make things run smoother,being new there are some kinks that need to be worked out.
