Fat stack of Philippine Japanese Occupation WWII currency S O L D !!!!!!

Massive lot of 78 pieces, including bills from the First and Second series, JAPWANCAP counterstamped pieces, in mixed grades from well circulated to almost uncirculated.

Denominations are as follows:

$1 (first series) x 26
$1 (second series) x 15
$5 (first series) x 2 including one JAPWANCAP obverse stamp
$5 (second series) x 6 including one JAPWANCAP reverse stamp
$10 (first series) x 25
$10 (second series) x 3
$100 (second series) x 1

This group includes two scarce "Received for Safe Keeping" counterstamped JAPWANCAP (Japanese War Notes Claimants Association of the Philippines, Inc.) notes. JAPWANCAP unsuccessfully tried to make the governments of the US and the Philippines make good on payment for these notes which many Filipinos lost their life savings on when they couldn't be redeemed after the war.

All that US military history in one place PLUS it just looks really cool to have a big, thick bundle of bills that look shockingly like US currency image

$46 shipped OBO. The silver peso is just to show scale and is not included.

We are like children who look at print and see a serpent in the last letter but one, and a sword in the last.
