Sent three ancients ATS several weeks back. Two from my box of 20 (including my icon) so that they could be slabbed and consistent with the rest of the pieces in that collection, one was one of the first coins I purchased as a child back in the mid-1970s.
I don't really know how to interpret grades on ancients. It doesn't really matter, since they're box of 20 material and I was good with them before they graded. But some opinions or info would be greatly appreciated. Do they roughly translate to Sheldon 1-70 grading scale? AU = AU?
001 c.610-546 BC LYDIA EL Third-Stater AU
002 Croesus, 561-546 BC LYDIA AR Stater AU*
003 Phraates, 2nd Century AD KINGDOM OF ELYMAIS AE Drachm Ch F

We are like children who look at print and see a serpent in the last letter but one, and a sword in the last.
