    This note portrays Queen Tamara, a 13th century ruler of the Kingdom of Georgia

    This note is being replaced by the Bank of Georgia in the next few months with an updated design.

    You tipped us off by using "Georgian" instead of "Georgia".

    Very few Americans refer to notes from the U.S. state as "Georgian".
    Collector and dealer in obsolete currency. Always buying all obsolete bank notes and scrip.

    I'll hold off on collecting them until either Georgia is defunct or finds peace with Russia - the currency will either have to lose more value or gain value as the 50 Lari lost a lot of face value back in 2008 when they decided to invade S. Ossetia and take on Russia.
