Graded Racks

I have some rack packs and was investigating whether I can get them graded and slabbed. Is GAI the only company to have ever graded racks? I can't find another graded rack anywhere and can only find wax and cello packs graded by PSA.

Thank!

GAI is out of business but Steve Hart will wrap racks for you, although he doesn't grade them.

I knew about the GAI/GA out of business thing, just wasn't sure if there was another company. Is it worth it to have the racks wrapped by BBCE and what is the cost? It looks like they are put in a hard plastic sleeve and then shrink-wrapped? Thanks for the info Tim.

I have several racks wrapped by BBCE. It's in like a toploader type sleeve/case and then shrink wrapped. It's not a super "hard" case like an acrylic one of anything...but I feel that it supports and protects the rack pack very well.

If I recall, it is $5 for the actual wrapping job per rack. Of course shipping both ways is covered by you too, so it would make it more economical to get multiple racks wrapped at the same time. If I only have one rack that needs to be wrapped, I will usually buy some other stuff and have Steve mail everything back together to help mitigate the shipping per item.

When Steve Hart wraps rack packs, does that mean it gets his seal of approval as far as being a legitimate, un tampered with rack?
I'm assuming it does since it has the BBCE exchange name on the shrink wrap but it doesn't say anything like 'authentic unopened rack pack'.

Yes~to my knowledge, he will not wrap a rack in the BBCE shrinkwrap unless he determines it is authentic.

Thanks Grote, I was thinking that had to be right, but I just wanted confirmation.
I have a few racks like a Gwynn rookie and Ripken rookie that I want to send
to him sometime this year, would be easier in the future to sell with his seal of approval.

I had a 1984 cello pack with Dan Marino on top that was sent back as Steve deemed it questionable.
