Thoughts on this Schmidt rookie card on eBay?

I am interested in buying this card but am a little unsure about it so at the risk of driving up the price, I decided to ask the board. It looks very clean. My only concern is that the seller has 3 baseball cards for sale (the others being a 61 Clemente and a 66 Mantle) and they all look brand new, pack fresh. Also, no returns, no seller activity in a year and private FB. Does the Schmidt card look all original and untampered with? The top edge does look a little wavy from the scan of the back of the card.

That being said, the seller also has PSA cards available, though I won't venture an opinion on those. See for yourself. The Schmidt RC might already be in a holder by now, as well, no?
Only buy PSA or SGC cards! You eliminate the risk of altered or counterfeit cards when a professional third party views them and assigns a grade.
True, but it is also one of the easiest ways to triple or quadruple your money. Or if you are collecting the card, one of the easiest ways to pick up quality cards at a low price. In many cases you can pick up a quality raw card and do well regardless. I picked up a raw Yaz RC recently and it is at PSA as we speak. I'm hopeful it will come back as a 4 at least. If that is the case, I will have doubled my money. If it comes back a 5, I will have tripled my money.
I picked up a raw T206 for about $30 and it came back a 4, which goes for about $80-90.

Not at the risk of sensibility. One must consider all aspects of research before making an educated decision about any card. Sometimes you end up being wrong, but erring on the side of good judgement usually pans out well.
The best thing about cards is that there's usually another one just like the other one.
I recently bought a raw 1973 Topps set. The Schmidt card was so off center, it was bordering on miscut (I knew this before I bought the set). I sold that card so now I'm looking to replace it. Normally, I would go graded with a high dollar card like that and most likely will.
Observing the back scan, there appear to be straight borders side-to-side, however, the top border is angulated. My opinion is that the card is miscut, but if you'd be content without a card in a PSA holder, then maybe you'd be ok with owning it.

The 1966 OPC Mantle listed by the same seller also looks like it has the same suspicious borders on top and bottom. Even considering OPC rough cut, I don't like the looks of what I'm seeing on the Mantle, especially on the bottom border near one of the corners.

The good news is this is eBay and PayPal. What is this risk that you are talking about?
Card comes back altered/fake/abused by a sloth, etc. and you have 180 days now to dispute the purchase as not as described and get a full refund. All you are out is the grading fees/shipping fees to PSA.
If there is ever a chance a card might flip for a nice profit eBay is a winter wonderland of speculation!!! Or do like others are doing now and speculate on prospects or players that may have a breakout season and when things do not pan out dispute the purchase 6 months after the fact.
Reason # 1,421,293 for why to no longer actively sell on eBay. Either consign to the big boys or sell elsewhere.
