My January Sub Results -- A nice bounceback after the disaster from October

Big thanks to Paul (Stooge) who has let me piggyback on his group subs over the past year or so. He just emailed me yesterday with the results of our group sub (I don't remember if it was December or January). Here they are. October was an absolute disaster of a sub, so it was good to see a bounce back in grades. A little commentary on the sides of some of the cards in the sub with my feelings on them. Most of these are for my player collections and the one set I am working on (1986 Fleer BK), with the exception of the Aaron Rodgers RC and a few of the 86 Fleer, which are doubles for me.

All in all I am very happy with the results. No modern card under a 9, so it looks like my vision has returned to normal. Out of the top 10 most important cards in the sub to me I got 7 10's and 3 9's, so I will take that result every time. Overall the stats are:

Steph Curry RC's -- 6 10's, 5 9's
Anthony Davis RC's -- 8 10's, 6 9's
Karl Anthony Towns RC's -- 3 10's, 2 9's
1986 Fleer -- 3 9's, 3 8's (I got 9's on the two cards in the sub I needed for my set so that worked out well)
Aaron Rodgers RC -- 10

Now for the hard part. Waiting for the cards to ship to sub organizer and then back to me. Gonna be a long 7-10 days before I get my hands on them. I will definitely update scans when the cards get in. Thanks for looking.

Mike--Thanks, yup almost all of the cards will go straight to my player collections for Steph Curry, Anthony Davis and Karl Anthony Towns. Every Curry card will be a card I didn't have graded yet and the same is true for all of the Towns cards. A good portion of the AD 10's are also cards I didn't have graded yet. This was an excellent sub for my player collections.

Eric--Yup, these were the first KAT cards that I have subbed. I'm stoked to have my first 10's! I am going for the Prizm rainbow, so I knocked out the base and Green Prizm in this sub. I have another sub in the Feb special and that one has another base Prizm as well as Purple, Blue and Red Wave parallels. Are you collecting him too?

Brad--Thanks, I appreciate your collection too. KAT and AD are a couple of great young players. I am not necessarily a UK fan, but they are certainly producing their fair share of NBA superstars so I am bound to collect their players being a basketball collector. I like that both these young guys seem to have good heads on their shoulders to match their incredible talent.

firedawg45--Good luck with your sub. I hope you get a nice bounce back too. This sub certainly put me back on track. It seems I usually manage to get in 3 or 4 good subs before I get tripped up and humbled by PSA with a wreck of a sub.

Darin--Thanks. I am happy whenever my modern cards come back 9 or 10. This sub, the ratio of 10's to 9's was pretty good and pretty much in line with my previous subs. I will take these results every time

We had very opposite subs. This sub was horrible for me, but the one before that had all my PSA 10's on it.

Paul, thanks again for making me part of your group. Yes, it has been the tale of two subs for us. I got wrecked on the Oct sub and I think everyone else made out pretty well and in the Dec/Jan sub it seemed like I caught all the good breaks and you guys took it on the chin. Hopefully next time we will all be riding a wave of 10's Can't wait to get the cards back.
