upload larger images to PB. nice grades of Canadian Silver. Hope you got them at a good price. IMO, it appears that your 1887 is the following variety as listed in Charlton 64th edition: repunched 1/1 first 8 rep 8/8/3 second 8 rep large 8 / W8
the 7 is a straight 7. but it needs a better resolution for enlargement to see if it is Rep. very nice
1871 25 cent is a obv 2. it appears that is has a 7/7 as in the 1872 coin. However, that variety is not listed so far, but it has been seen previously. the remnant of the underlying 7 is clearly visible at the bottom.
However, I might be totally out to lunch with my observations as I am "high" on the second pot of fantastic Saturday AM Mocca Java. ( no worries, it is Coffee)
