Just hit the Mount Rushmore of Tim Raines rookies

I had a 1981 O-pee-chee raines gray back grade a PSA 9, pop 1 no 10's. Bound to be his rarest 1981 card. Now is it worth much, not sure. Any opinions?

There is a PSA 10 gray back but it doesn't say "gray back" on the holder

I hope he gets in next year. They say he is lock after getting close to 70% however I think there is a group of writers that hold the coke (not pepsi) issue against him like it was a PED.

Thank for the info. $350 before the gray back became so knowledgeable. I'm guessing that is a $500 card all day long now.

It's the even rarer grey back in a PSA error non gray back holder......PRICELESS.

Move over Honus, the real holy grail is here.

Never knew there were gray backs in 1981 OPC?

IT CAN'T BE A TRUE PLAYOFF UNLESS THE BIG TEN CHAMPIONS ARE INCLUDED

Congrats on the 9 grade still a rare feat for that card. I'm also on the Raines hall bandwagon here's the horse I have in the race:

    Mount Everest?
Always looking for 1993-1999 Baseball Finest Refractors and1994 Football Finest Refractors.

  • For the reasons he got his Rock nickname and his own off field issues that affected his on field issues, it'll be difficult for him to get a place in the Hall. Not that I agree or not.
Esp, since I have so many of his rooks.
  • Which brings up this, not many think he'll get in but could. So if he does, I suspect there are a ton of his RC's waiting to be sent in to be graded. Id sell fast after the announcement. But who knows.

Mount Rushmore? Do you have 4 different high grade Raines RCs?
  • The mountain is only one rock. Must have perspective on this.
  • I recently hit the Old Faithful of Brian Lashoff rookies. It blows.
