Question about NGC/PCGS Storage Boxes

I currently have an NGC storage box and until today it held all my NGC and PCGS graded coins without issue.

Today, however, I received a state quarter graded by PCGS that was slightly thicker case than my other coins.

Will the PCGS storage box hold these coins (NGC box won't).

It's not a LOT thicker, but it is quite a bit thicker.

Also, I have a couple 2 oz coins with a thicker case. Are there any storage boxes for these larger oversized coins?

I didn't know the new PCGS slabs are too wide for the NGC boxes.

You can't put NGC coins in blue boxes, but the NGC boxes used to be universal slab holders. image

Yes ngc boxes won't hold the new pc slabs anymore. The ngc box used to be what I carried all my slabs to and from shows in now I guess it's back to the double row red boxes. Can't stand then but that's the only option now

It would only make sense for the consumer to have a single size and thickness so that slabs could be retained in any TPG box, so of course they go rogue.

NGC slabs have always been too tall to fit in PCGS boxes. Don't blame PCGS now that its newest holder doesn't fit in NGC boxes.

If collectors want a single solution look to the marketplace. I like the Intercept boxes.
