Display Thoughts on Large Griffey Jr. signature

Hey everyone, it's been a while since I've posted, took a little collecting break but it never really leaves you, right? Was lucky enough to get this Griffey Jr. auto from a co-worker who went to Japan in the early 90's doing a story on a visit Junior had doing a promotion for Mizuno. He was given this while there and then passed it on to me. I hear Griffey didn't put his #24 on many signatures so that's a plus. Just got it PSA certified at Mill Creek Sports today and was looking for display ideas. By itself, surrounded by cards, magazines or one big cool picture of him? Thanks. Doug

I'd go with picture of a smiling Ken with a pix of his HOF plaque. Optional:Include his iconic 89 UD card within the piece.

I was thinking something HOF related would look nice. Thanks for the ideas.

Also, I would not clutter up the piece too much with cards. That would take away from the auto. If you could get a pix of him next to the HOF plaque, so much the better.

What's the box for. Is it a Mizuno box?

Box? Not sure I understand. The autograph is on a flat thicker paper stock.

Whatever you decide please be sure to post a pix of the completed piece. Thanks.

A newspaper friend who took this or a version of the '95 playoff win picture gave Griffey two large copies when he came out to Seattle in January after election into the HOF. I'm going to ask if I can buy one off her. She works for the AP so we'll see If I it will work. It would be cool to frame that photo and the signature below it.

The guy I got it from was standing there when he signed it in Japan early 90's. Don't quite get the question mark at the end of your comment.

    It was questioning PSA.

Curious to hear your thoughts on it. My feeling is, it's a larger signature so everything is wider more spread out than normal and not constrained like writing small on a baseball or card. A few larger signatures I've seen of his have the same "Y" on Griffey sweeping back straight. Mantle's autographed evolved over time and this was early in Jr's career so maybe it changed. Not a expert but that's what I think. Thanks for your thoughts on it.

My thoughts are it looks too carefully signed that it's fake.
I am really shocked PSA the said ok? Did you have it authenticated and does it have the matching certificate?

I had it authenticated at Mill Creek Sports on Tuesday. They have PSA come in every month or so.

don't listen to jackstraw - autograph is good, looks like probably an early '90s signature (maybe you already said that? but that's where i would date it, 1991-1992 or so).

it is somewhat rare for him to number things, but you do see it some.

i think you should put it in a shadow box as the backdrop, with a mariners mcfarlane figure and the picture you like above his autograph (will help hide the crease in the board).

here's a link to one of the mcfarlanes, these look really cool when they're put together, maybe you can find a loose one (the reds version is much cheaper)

"Somewhat" yup somewhat as in never and never dots his "i" and never signs the "e" in Ken. Let's see what else?
The "G" never seen one like that or the "r" what about the two f's and the Jr is a much later version maybe 97 or so after he stopped
underlining his last name. Ok bounce since there are a million of Griffey autos show me another that looks even close to this one.
I may be wrong but to me that looks faked..
