    I doubt that it would inflate the value of the remaining pieces enough to justify turning them in... Perhaps at that time when there were so few collectors but now I don't see how that could ever really be a winning strategy. I would have sold the collection and held back the others for suture sales. It was a private collection so it is not like you would have to disclose the entire composition...

    I had heard of this destruction before and just read it earlier in the E-Sylum newsletter. Seems like once again the PROFIT motive won the day and the poor collector lost again. image
