Where's the Class Boston?

This is an older article but it pretty much sums up Boston Fans in general.

Kidd: My family's safety was in jeopardy

Boston players have about the same amount of class with the way they celebrated after the game 3 win.

It's stuff like this that makes the NBA and it's so called "star players" look bad.

Btw I'm looking for anything in my sig. Thanks.
Looking for former University of Arizona NBA RC's in PSA or BGS 9's/GEM MINT grades. Die hard University of Arizona and Bay Area Sports fan.

  • Yeah that is sad,, I read that in USA today...It's one thing to boo/chant nasty things at Kidd himself..But to threaten his wife and 3 year old son..Thats just soooooo out of line...

The NBA is turning into the NHL faster than I can handle. The fans are throwing stuff and doing things that are completely stupid. They shouldn't allow the fans to even have beer. They are their to watch the game not to get drunk. I guess one of the new rules for next season will have to be glass walls and a glass ceiling so they can't get hit with beer bottles. At least they were smart enough to go to plastic bottles that won't hurt as much. Also it isn't just the Boston Fans. Earlier this season I saw NETS fans do the same thing to a ref when he was walking out. I have also seen it in many other games this season. There's only one solution to this problem. They must remove alcohol from the fans and arrest people who throw items.

Man, don't compare that crappy basketball stuff to the greatness of hockey...The fans are not that bad at all. The things they usually throw are acceptable and definitely not dangerous (hats and octopus). The NBA sucks
and it's because there are too many attitudes in the league. A lot of the star players care less about winning just as long as they can do some nasty dunk on some guy to make him look bad.

  • threaten? i saw no proof of that- i think kidd is a little insecure and afraid. he thinks he's a tuff guy (granted he wouuld kick my tail) however he wont back it up. boston fans have no class and are off the wall (go sox!!! lol) but you have to deal with it.
looking for nice football gu/autos (warner,culpepper,manning,favre,ect..)

I agree about the attitudes of the NBA players. Many of them think they are above everyone and can do anythign they want include lose. They should adopt play for pay deals only. That would keep them playing hard because if they lose then they don't get paid. If they do bad so will attendance. If they do good attendance will go up. Now for the hockey thrown items not being as dangerous. I have been to a couple of hockey games. I have seen items thrown onto the ice that weren't hats. But maybe it was just the games that I went to.

Unfortunately, there will always be some "morons" at a game that will throw something or say something that gets people angry. I remember Sam Wyche (Bengals former coach) yelling at fans for throwing snowballs at a football game. People don't consider the possible harmful things that can come from their actions. Laugh if you want, but even a "harmless" paper airplane can hurt someone if it hits them in the eye or something. I've seen tons of those at NFL games. But I have to say, I could never stomach a Tigers game without at least 10 beers image - lol

  • Lol, remember kids it's only fun till someone loses an eyeimage..And what the hell?!?!?! People throw octopus onto the ice at hockey games??image..Is there a metaphorical meaning behind that..Or is it just their sea food of choice for throwing?

Actually there is. It used to take 8 game to win the Hockey Championship, thus the 8 legs of the octopus image
