Question about 4SC sending wrong card.

I bought a 1975 Tim McCarver PSA 9 from 4SC, along with seven other PSA 9's.
The McCarver isn't the one that was listed, the cert no. is different.
I've bought hundreds of cards from them, and this is the first time they've sent a
card with a different cert. number than the one in the listing.
I'm pretty picky with the cards I put in my set, and the scan of the card listed
looks better than the card I received. I wouldn't have bought this one.

4SC doesn't offer returns on graded cards, so do I try to deal with them or send a complaint to ebay?
I know its not a lot of money but I don't want to pay for a card I didn't actually buy.

Contact 4SC first and try to work it out.
Love those 70's - early 80's packs and boxes...send me a message if you are selling because I am buying

They might not offer returns, however you didn't receive the card you purchased.

Did the listing say anything like...picture is a stock photo and card will be of the same grade/condition as the listing states.

I've seen that before on other people's listings...I stay away from those. I've never seen that on 4SCs stuff, but just checking

Good Luck. I'd expect them to remedy the situation.

No, nothing about a stock photo.
Like I said I've bought hundreds of cards from them and this is the first time I've gotten
one with a different cert. number than the one listed.
I wouldn't mind except that I think its a lower quality card than the one in the listing, even though both are 9's.
Thanks for the help, I'll use that number vintagefun posted.

I have returned a card to 4SC before. The first person you talk to will probably state returns are not accepted and that is when you should make it clear up front that you have purchased a lot of cards from them and never had any problems. Since you purchased it on Ebay and have proof of the wrong cert. # being sent you should have no problems. My return was directly from their website and the PSA 10 card they sent was the correct one but there was an obvious stain on the back (they do not post pictures of the back of cards). I scanned a picture and sent it to them so they could understand why I wanted to return it and they willingly accepted my return.

They may have the PSA 9 McCarver you want and can send it to you once you return the card you have. I would ask if they have the original McCarver. Good luck.
